Patching a door frame… Moisture has rotted this whole lower section of this door frame, so I’m patching in a new section. I make sure it’s a bit off the ground, as that will give it the ability to dry out. This is an unsealed addition on a heritage building in Red Lodge MT. I make sure the patch is primed on all surfaces, and I’ll paint it to match the existing frame once the glue is dry. I use shims to add upward pressure on the joint until the glue dries.
