This is Devils Postpile and it’s a unique geological marvel in the Eastern Sierra of California. It’s made up of Basalt columns that formed from a laval flow and it’s thought to be up to 100,000 years old. It was once part of Yosemite National Park and almost destroyed if not for preservation efforts from John Muir in the early 1900s.
