Psoas tightness is about as confusing as spelling “PSOAS” Psoas tightness isn’t just a muscle problem. When the body gets shifted forward the Psoas is put under tension. This tension can reduce hip mobility and cause discomfort. Reducing tension in the psoas is easily done by learning to shift the body backwards. Holding squats against a wall with weight in the heels shifts the body backwards. This exercise is my favorite way to get the body to shift backward and therefore reduce psoas tightness
