Surah Ikhlas is named the Surah of Sincerity. And the word sincerity does not appear in it once. Ousama Alshurafa points to something in the Quran that most people have recited hundreds of times without ever noticing. The surah named for ikhlas contains no direct mention of ikhlas at all. No command to be sincere. No reminder about intention. Just four verses describing who Allah is. And that is precisely the point. Allah is One. Everyone is in need of Him and He is in need of no one.
