A gearing change on a Jr is a little different than a gearing change on a kart… as I’ve found out the hard way 😂 | ARC Racing

I bolted the DED Racing Billet head engine on the old UAS kart and finally got it on the track last night. The track we went to just put a new clay surface on so the grip wasn’t quite there yet. I was going to make a few more runs once the track started taking rubber, but we had a slight malfunction during this run. The motor mount top plate moved and caused the engine to twist and tossing the chain. Thus screwing up a few important axle parts as seen in the comments below lol. Either way we got

Wow it’s been 10 years since I built this kart 😲. For a reminder this is the dual engine kart I built to run in the UAS series. It had two 240cc engine built off of a Honda GX200 based block. They each made around 27hp and were connected by a common jackshaft between the engines with a clutch on each engine, then a chain to the rear axle.
