Turbo snails aren’t fast. Turbo fluctuosa were named “turbo” because the shape of their shell is similar to a turban. These salt water grazers like to slowly roam their environments and eat accumulated algae, making them a friend to anyone who has ever had to clean a tank. Turbo snails have a spiny, scraping “tongue” called a radula that is common to all mollusks, even squids and octopuses.
