50 years ago today, our lovely Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway was closed. This weekend, some 20 years after rebuilding began at Midsomer Norton, it's been an absolute pleasure to be able to meet so many visitors and also to see steam engines again running through the beautiful north Somerset countryside. There have been very many kind remarks of support, encouragement and even donations - for which we are most grateful. We look forward to informing you of significant new projects in the near fu

Yesterday (22nd October) was footplate crew familiarisation on Kilmersdon which involved various preparations and checks prior to running, ensuring that the locomotive was fit to run.
