Here's a time lapse of the parade of ocean swells sweeping in from a powerhouse North Pacific storm system well northwest of Hawaii all day Monday. That storm's winds, raking the ocean over such a wide "fetch" of water that there was plenty of time for an energy transfer from the wind to the ocean surface---a set-up which churned the ocean surface gnerating waves---and BIG ONES at that!
