National Weather Service forecasters say nearly continuous onshore flow will keep California and portions of the Pacific Northwest in a very active, wet pattern this weekend. Forecasters with the National Weather Service say a vigorous storm system is likely to bring an increased threat for severe thunderstorms from the Midwest to the Southeast U.S Wednesday (4/5) into Wednesday night. Damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes, and heavy rainfall will be the main threats. Heavy rain could cause flash flooding of low lying areas.
