Locomotive: Heisler Steam, Bluestone Mining and Smelting - Roots Of Motive Power

Engineer Ross Harrison gives a blast of the whistle as Heisler locomotive No. 6 rolls down the tracks. Departing from the historic town of Durbin, the Durbin Rocket takes you on a two hour journey along the Greenbrier River to Hevener Station. This year, our Candy Cane Express trains are being pulled by our 1917 Heisler locomotive, Craig Mountain Lumber Co. 3! This year was her first full season working on our railroad and the added cars on the Candy Cane Express has certainly put the engine to work.
