🦶 Do you know how to stress test the CFL ligament in the ankle? The calcaneofibular ligament (CFL) is one of the main stabilisers on the outside of the ankle. To stress test it, we use an inversion stress test: ✅ Place the ankle at 90° (perpendicular) ✅ Apply a controlled inversion force ✅ Compare movement & pain to the opposite side ⚡️ Why this matters: • Identifies lateral ankle instability 🤕 • Helps distinguish CFL injury from ATFL sprains • Directs the right rehab & strengthening plan 🏋️
