Storm Floris made landfall in northern parts of the UK on the morning of Monday August 4, 2025, bringing intense rainfall followed by severe winds throughout the afternoon. The Met Office issued an amber weather warning for much of Scotland and yellow alerts for parts of Northern Ireland and northern England.

Storm Floris is bringing heavy rain, strong winds and widespread disruption to Ireland over the Bank Holiday weekend, with Met Eireann issuing a spate of weather warnings.

Parts of the UK are bracing for Storm Floris, with an amber weather warning for large parts of Scotland due to come into effect at 10:00 BST. A yellow weather warning is already in place across northern England, north Wales, Northern Ireland and other parts of Scotland, and will remain until midnight on Monday.
