The Dallas Mavericks could be down to seven healthy players as an injured list headlined by Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis continues to grow. Two players went down at once when the heads of Dwight Powell and Kessler Edwards while the big men were chasing a loose ball in a 125-116 loss to Phoenix.

The Mavericks will miss Irving’s presence on the court as they are much better when he is at his best. The Grizzlies have a good shot at defeating the Mavericks and breaking their four-game losing streak now that he is sidelined, though.

The Dallas general manager said he believed that with a team built around 31-year-old Anthony Davis and 32-year-old Kyrie Irving, the Mavericks only had a handful of opportunities soon to hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
