LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A teacher admitted he fatally stabbed a couple he didn’t know who were hiking with two of their children in an Arkansas state park, authorities said Thursday, after a five-day search and hundreds of tips led to his arrest.

Andrew James McGann, 28, was arrested at 4:57 p.m. local time on July 30 at a business in Springdale, Arkansas, state police said.

Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty for a man charged with killing two people at Devil's Den State Park over the weekend.
