The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to fly injured opening batsman Saim Ayub to London in hopes of getting him fit in time for next month's Champions Trophy.

Saim Ayub suffered an ankle injury while fielding during the first day of the ongoing second Test against South Africa in Cape Town and has been ruled out of competitive cricket for six weeks.

Saim Ayub's fractured ankle has sidelined him for six weeks, jeopardizing his Champions Trophy participation. Set for surgery in London, the young opener faces a race against time to recover and return to form for Pakistan cricket.

Pakistan opener Saim Ayub will travel to London to have his ankle fracture treated. The PCB, who had earlier said he would stay with the team and fly back to Pakistan at the end of the Newlands Test match,

Young Pakistan batter Saim Ayub was part of an unfortunate incident during ongoing the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town. During the seventh over of Day 1, Ryan Rickelton edged the delivery and Ayub went chasing after it to deep third man with Aamer Jamal assisting him.
