James Cameron's third Avatar movie is turning the rules upside down, introducing a nefarious Na'vi clan as the human invaders go all-out.

The follow-up to 'The Way of Water' teases a spectacular epic that includes volcano fights, family tragedy and intense action. Fan reactions are over the top: "Yup, another billion to James Cameron."

Disney has released the first trailer for director James Cameron’s third “Avatar” movie, titled “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” It’s scheduled to hit theaters on December 19, 2025, three years after “Avatar: The Way of Water.

Disney has officially revealed the stunning first trailer for James Cameron's next "Avatar" film, "Avatar: Fire and Ash," which is set to hit theaters on December 19, 2025, three years after "Avatar: The Way of the Water."

The next Avatar is born an Earthbender in Seven Havens, giving them immediate access to unique abilities and secrets.

We see two new Na'vi tribes in the trailer: the Wind Traders and the Ash People clan, the latter of whom seem to represent most of the menace in the film. We see the Ash People using fire as a weapon, with one of the aliens even seeming to be able to wield it on her bare hands without hurting herself.

In an Instagram story, Gardner described the sketch as "AVATAR, but with Oakleys," and revealed that she "wrote this hot plate of Pandora" with the boys of Please Don't Destroy. In the moments before the sketch cuts to commercial, viewers can see the biggest reveal of all: nothing was actually blue at all.
