SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 24, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - OpenAI on Thursday introduced an artificial intelligence program called "Operator" that can tend to online tasks such as ordering items or filling out forms.
It can also ask follow-up questions to further personalize the tasks it completes, such as login information for other websites. Users can take control of the screen at any time.
Anthropic chief says AI capabilities could surpass “almost all humans at almost everything" by 2027. More details here.
Going forward, OpenAI plans to expand the availability of Operator beyond ChatGPT Pro to the chatbot’s other tiers. The company will also offer the agent through its application programming interface.
