Phoenix Open was a lot like a house party where someone called the cops. A combination of bad weather and booze led to mayhem at TPC Scottsdale a year ago, causing tournament officials to take the unprecedented step of closing the gates and cutting off alcohol sales.

Tournament organizers have adjusted their policies and the grounds to handle huge crowds. "There's no way it's going to be worse."
