TORONTO — Brandon Ingram has a $120 million extension from the Raptors before ever playing a game for Toronto. The recently acquired forward agreed to the deal Tuesday, less than a week after the Raptors got him from the New Orleans Pelicans.

Brandon Ingram has officially committed to the Toronto Raptors, agreeing to a three-year, $120 million contract extension that includes a player option for the 2027-28 season.  The deal was first reported by Shams Charania and Bobby Marks of ESPN,

The Toronto Raptors didn't hesitate when it came time to commit to Brandon Ingram after this month's trade deadline. However, Brian Windhorst of ESPN reported Friday that Ingram's three-year, $120 million extension with the Raptors was likely more than the forward would have obtained in free agency,

Brandon Ingram has not played a basketball game since December 7, missing over two months of action. Ingram's inability to stay healthy on the court this season was a big reason why the New Orleans Pelicans decided to move on from him and not pay the max contract.

The Toronto Raptors are about to enter their final part of the season. The Raptors returned to practice on Wednesday with a full squad. Jakob Poeltl was back practicing on the court after missing 5 games with a hip injury.
