UnitedHealth Group on Thursday named Tim Noel, the head of its Medicare business, to the top job at its health insurance business, a month after the unit’s former CEO Brian Thompson was killed. UnitedHealth Group has quietly but significantly scaled back its MedExpress urgent care business, with just 19 locations operating across the country — down from more than 150 locations in 2022.
