excels at complex reasoning ...
Microsoft introduces Phi-4, an AI model for advanced reasoning tasks
The new small language model prioritizes efficiency and reasoning capabilities, leveraging Microsoft's focus on responsible AI development.
Microsoft launches Phi-4, a new generative AI model, in research preview
Microsoft has announced the newest addition to its Phi family of generative AI models: Phi-4. It's in limited research preview.
Microsoft Unveils Phi-4: New AI Model for Mathematical Reasoning
The new model has 14 billion parameters with improved performance in mathematical reasoning. Microsoft attributes Phi-4's improved performance to the use of high-quality synthetic datasets alongside human-generated content, as well as unspecified post-training improvements.
Microsoft Compact AI Model Phi-4 Takes on Mathematical Challenges
Phi-4 surpasses both similar-sized and larger models in mathematical problem-solving, including high-profile competitors including Gemini Pro 1.5
Microsoft releases Phi-4 language model trained mainly on synthetic data
Phi-4 is the fourth iteration of an open-source language model series Microsoft introduced last year. Its architecture is nearly identical to that of its predecessor, Phi-3-medium. Both neural networks feature 14 billion parameters and can process prompts with up to 4,000 tokens, units of data that each contain a few characters.
Microsoft announces Phi-4, a small yet powerful new generative AI model, in research preview
Microsoft’s Phi-4, a 14-billion-parameter AI model, excels at mathematical reasoning with fewer resources than larger models.
Microsoft Phi-4 Open-Source Small Language Model Introduced; Claimed to Outperform Gemini 1.5 Pro
So far, every Phi series has been launched with a mini variant, however, no mini model accompanied the Phi-4 model. Microsoft, in a blog post, highlighted that Phi-4 is currently available on Azure AI Foundry under a Microsoft Research Licence Agreement (MSRLA). The company plans to make it available on Hugging Face next week as well.
Microsoft’s phi-4 is a Monstrous Small Model
Microsoft has launched their latest small model, the phi-4, with 14 billion parameters. The model is said to ‘excel’ at complex reasoning capabilities. It is currently available on Azure AI Foundry and will be available on Hugging Face from next week onwards. Microsoft has also released a detailed technical report for phi-4 .
Phi-4: Microsoft's smaller AI model beats larger competitors in reasoning
Microsoft has unveiled a new artificial intelligence (AI) model, Phi-4, which is capable of performing mathematical reasoning while consuming less computational power than larger models. With just 14 billion parameters,
