Pakistan captain Shan Masood continued to defy South Africa as the tourists cut down the deficit to 109 runs on the fourth day of the second and final test.

The visitors were slashed match fees and also deducted World Test Championship points for failing to meet the minimum quota of overs in the allotted time during the second Test in Cape Town.

Pakistan may have lost their test series in South Africa 2-0, but captain Shan Masood saw enough from his side to believe there are better days ahead as they held their own for long periods in challenging conditions.
