Scream 7 has begun filming. Director Kevin Williamson celebrated the start of principal photography on Instagram by sharing a close-up picture of the clapperboard featuring the logo for the upcoming slasher movie.

Aside from his writer credits on the original Scream and the sequels Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 4 (2011), Williamson also wrote 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer. He made his directorial debut in 1999 with Teaching Mrs. Tingle, and is also known as the creator of the teen drama series Dawson's Creek.
