PHOENIX -- The rumor mill surrounding the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is churning at rampant pace. What seemed like a trade only done in NBA 2K games is now a very real possibility. Last week, NBA insider Shams Charania reported Butler - who very well could be dealt out of South Beach - had the Suns on his list of teams.

“Of the star-level players out there, the most likely to be traded is Jimmy becauase the team that has him [the Miami Heat] is open to it,” ESPN Insider Brian Windhorst said on “The Hoop Collective” podcast. “It’s just a matter of lining it up.”

The Phoenix Suns are the most recently reported preferred landing spot for Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler. Just because Butler expresses interest in a certain destination, doesn't mean the organization has a desire to acquire him.
