One of the biggest surprises of The Game Awards is that veteran game director Hideki Kamiya has reunited with Capcom to create an Okami sequel under the umbrella of a new studio named CLOVERS.

Capcom has officially revealed that Okami 2 (which almost certainly won't be its actual name) is in development, and that Hideki Kamiya himself will direct.

Clovers Studio is currently working on a sequel to Okami, developed in partnership with Capcom. The studio’s name will be of particular interest to PlatinumGames, the studio Kamiya co-founded in 2007 before leaving last year. Clover Studio was the name of the Capcom-founded studio that was established in 2004.
