A tipster discovered an image of Google's entire Pixel 10 series through the Play Store's code. The image, which seems to be official promotional material, showcased the base model in its alleged "indigo," as well as the other phones in a Moonstone.

The matter originated from an inquiry initiated by the CCI in November 2020, focusing on Google’s billing methods within the Play Store

Google has appealed to the Supreme Court against a March 2025 NCLAT ruling that supported CCI's findings of the company's alleged unfair practices in the Android ecosystem, particularly regarding Play Store policies and Google Pay promotion.

Google and its related companies have challenged the March 28 judgment by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) which largely affirmed the CCI's core findings that Google abused its dominant position in multiple markets in the Android mobile device ecosystem through its Play Store policies and engaged in unfair promotion of Google Pay.

Google Play and Android reportedly generated an estimated ₹4 lakh crore for app publishers and the Indian economy in 2024, as per a Public First report.
