India’s pace attack triggered another top order batting collapse for Australia as the hosts struggled to 104-3 at lunch on the second day of the third cricket test.

Australia were 28-0 in a rain-affected first session of the third Test against India at the Gabba in Brisbane on Saturday. The five-match series is evenly poised with India thrashing Australia in the first Test in Perth and Australia recording an equally impressive victory in Adelaide.

Australia have been sent in to bat in the third Test at the Gabba with India hoping to take advantage of the overcast conditions.

Just over 13 overs could be bowled in an attritional first session that was hampered by two rain breaks. Australia openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney managed to keep their opening partnership alive.
