Rosemont College and Villanova University will undergo a multi-year transition to allow students to graduate with Rosemont College degrees. Following the transition, the college will become Villanova University,

Villanova says that as the merger plans are carried out, Rosemont College, whose campus is in Bryn Mawr, less than a mile from Villanova, will continue operating as a separate entity. Students will have the opportunity to graduate with Rosemont College degrees.

The transition will begin in 2027 and conclude in 2028. The agreement means the Philadelphia region eventually will be losing Rosemont, the second Catholic college to close in a short time frame.
