Historic home near Mineral Palace was scene of murder mystery. It may have been hard to fathom, but a luxurious home near Colorado Mineral Palace became the backdrop of a murder on March 20, 1896.

A 4-year-old child, identified by the Pueblo County Coroner as Ezekial Magoon, was killed in a fatal house fire in the 900 block of Candytuft Boulevard on Oct. 5.
