Chase Briscoe, Justin Haley, Brad Keselowski and others were involved in a Lap 99 crash during Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix.
Justin Haley and Carson Hocevar both wound up with DNFs while Michael McDowell is currently multiple laps down.
A good week for Chase Briscoe ended in ugly fashion. During Sunday's Shriners Children's 500, Briscoe was among multiple drivers wiped out in a wreck on the 99th lap. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver collided with Justin Haley on a Stage 2 restart.
Haley ran the last seven races of the 2024 Cup Series season in the No. 7, swapping rides with Corey LaJoie. One advantage Haley has against the rest of the field is a Championship-winning crew chief in Rodney Childers. Childers takes the reins looking to add to his total of 40 wins and a 2014 championship.
