There's some big money on the line as the Powerball jackpot climbed to a billion dollars ahead of Saturday's drawing. Did you pick all six winning numbers?

The Powerball jackpot rose to $1 billion for Saturday's drawing — the seventh-largest in the lottery game's history.

On Sept. 6, a $1.787 billion prize was split by ticketholders in Missouri and Texas. That jackpot was the second-largest in Powerball history, surpassed only by the Nov. 7, 2022, jackpot of $2.04 billion, a world national lottery record.

One Texas resident claimed a $3 million lottery prize, and another claimed a $1 million lottery prize, according to the Texas Lottery. A Houston resident claimed a $3 million prize with a 500X Loteria Spectacular scratch game ticket purchased at In-Time Clay, at 9801 Clay Road in Houston.

A Powerball ticket sold in Texas won $100,000, just missing the $194 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four winning numbers, the Powerball and the Power Play multiplier in the drawing Saturday, Oct. 4, the Texas Lottery said.
