Wisconsin Republicans have filed a lawsuit seeking a court order to resolve a discrepancy between state and federal law about what date the state’s presidential electors must meet to cast Wisconsin’s 10 Electoral College votes for President-elect Donald Trump.
A Dane County court commissioner ordered preliminary hearings for attorneys Jim Troupis and Kenneth Chesebro and former Trump aide Mike Roman.
"Under Chairman Brian Schimming’s leadership, the Republican Party of Wisconsin delivered Wisconsin’s 10 Electoral Votes to President Donald J. Trump, only the second time a Republican Presidential candidate has won Wisconsin since 1984," the WisGOP said in a release.
