The Houston Astros released their first roster for spring training next month in West Palm Beach, Fla., which starts next month.
Touted infield prospect Cam Smith will be among the non-roster players invited to major-league spring training, the Houston Astros announced Friday. Smith, 21, was acquired by the Astros in the trade of Kyle Tucker to the Chicago Cubs this offseason and immediately became Houston’s top-rated prospect by some outside evaluations.
