Nimari Burnett hit a winning half-court shot in high school. It was fun, but nothing like Thursday, which kept Michigan basketball in the B1G hunt.

Michigan basketball avoided an upset and disaster in the final three seconds at home, beating Rutgers on a final buzzer basket.

Tschetter’s second 3 gave him 12 points and Michigan a 35-34 lead with 6:26 left in the half. Rutgers responded with a 7-0 burst, and went up seven on a Harper 3, capping a stretch where Rutgers made 14 of 15 shots, shredding Michigan’s man and zone defense.
