A Southwest flight departing from Omaha on Tuesday morning had a close call with a private jet when attempting to land in Chicago.

The travel party was connecting at Midway on their way to Florida for the NAIA National Indoor Track & Field Championships this week.

Southwest Flight 2054 had to abort its landing around 9 a.m. Tuesday to avoid hitting a private jet that was crossing the runway.
