Severe weather south of St. Louis
ST. LOUIS — Storms are sweeping far south of the St. Louis area Saturday morning. Some of them are severe. There are flash flood warnings and tornado warnings are being issued for some counties in the region.
The outlook from the National Weather Service warns that severe storms will be most likely in places like northeast Missouri and west-central Illinois.

St. Louis started Thursday, March 5, 2026, in a murky haze, with patchy to locally dense fog and rain showers likely before 8 a.m. Patchy drizzle was expected to hang on into mid-morning.
