Drake Maye’s measured post-game declaration will have Patriots fans hyped
Drake Maye and the New England Patriots are winners of 10 in a row after dispatching the New York Giants, 33-15, on Monday night. As the win improved the Patriots to 11-2 and moved them back into sole possession of first place in the AFC standings, Maye ...
Dave Portnoy is a lightning rod for controversy, but the founder and owner of Barstool Sports is also skilled at going viral. That was the case again on Sunday as the proud New England Patriots fan posted a video celebrating the return of the dynasty when the Pats went up 21-0 against the Buffalo Bills.
This will be the much-anticipated rematch from the first meeting between the two teams back in Week 5, when the Patriots stunned the Bills in a 23-20 upset win on the road. Patriots second-year quarterback Drake Maye outdueled Bills MVP quarterback Josh Allen and picked up the team's biggest win so far this season.
But Allen and Buffalo were undeterred. Ray Davis had a huge kick return to open the second half, and Allen capped the drive with a 4-yard touchdown to Dawson Knox. Then, the maligned Buffalo defense, shredded throughout the first half, got a three-and-out, and the Bills marched down the field again, with Cook powering in from 3 yards out.
The New England Patriots host the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium on Sunday with kickoff at 1 p.m. ET. A Patriots win would clinch the AFC East and punch their ticket to the playoffs. The game feels huge for the team and city.
