The Michigan City Police Department reported Wednesday morning that the intersection of Ripley Street and Franklin Street closed due to a water main break.

With the slowdown of the 14-story SoLa project several blocks away, the new 12-story Franklin at 11th Street Station is the most visible effort in town.

A Michigan City man said he was injured on Dec. 16, and police body camera footage shows another man was injured on Oct. 9.

Miranda Eggleston-Suarez was arrested after she ran over her husband with her vehicle and left the scene in October 2023.

The shooting happened on Wednesday morning at Normandy Village Apartments.
