State law calls for the meeting to take place on Dec. 16 this year. But a two-year-old federal law says the vote must take place this year on Dec. 17.
"Under Chairman Brian Schimming’s leadership, the Republican Party of Wisconsin delivered Wisconsin’s 10 Electoral Votes to President Donald J. Trump, only the second time a Republican Presidential candidate has won Wisconsin since 1984," the WisGOP said in a release.
