More than 47,000 customers were without power Monday morning after severe thunderstorms drenched much of North Texas overnight. Power outages peaked overnight around 90,000, according to Oncor’s outage map.

The storms have moved to the southeast, and North Texas is looking at a quieter day ahead. Morning temperatures near 70 will warm into the mid-to-upper 80s Monday afternoon as skies begin to break up. Another disturbance could bring showers and a few storms to the southwest early Tuesday morning.

Sunday night/Monday morning storms have cleared across most of North Texas. Much of the day will be quiet and drier. Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds with a light north wind. Highs will be lower than yesterday, in the 80s. Don't get too comfortable, more storms are in the forecast.
