Ron DeSantis intensified attacks on Randy Fine Wednesday, blaming Fine's "unique problems" for a narrow special election win in a Republican stronghold district.

According to a study by the Florida Policy Institute, local governments in the Sunshine State receive a total of $42.7 billion in property taxes yearly, or about $2,000 per person. DeSantis told Loesch that Florida's popularity among tourists and snowbirds will allow the state to avoid income or property taxes easily.

The governor called on the Florida Legislature to grant the necessary authority to issue the rebates immediately, leveraging the state’s strong revenue position to benefit full-time residents.
