OU baseball lost a three-game road series to Alabama as the Crimson Tide took two of three games in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Alabama rode an 8-1 lead through four innings to an 8-6 victory in Tuscaloosa, meaning OU also dropped the weekend series 2-1. The Sooners won rubber games against South Carolina and Mississippi State to begin life in the SEC the past two Sundays, but could not sustain that success this time and fell to 22-5 overall/5-4 in league play.

No. 1 Tennessee (24-2, 6-1 SEC) opened a three-game road series Friday with a win at South Carolina (17-10, 1-6 SEC). The Vols defeated South Carolina, 11-7, at Founders Park in Columbia, South Carolina.
