NASA’s Ingenuity Mars helicopter — the first aircraft to fly on another planet — recently crashed due to a navigation glitch. Despite this setback, Ingenuity’s successful flights demonstrated the feasibility of aerial exploration on Mars. Following its success, NASA is developing a more advanced second helicopter for aerial exploration.
