Ever feel like tech support systems are designed to frustrate you, perhaps in the hope that you’ll just give up and stop trying? For HP, that was literally the case. It’s been confirmed that the company had a mandatory 15-minute wait period for all support calls in the UK and other countries.

Regardless of how busy HP's customer service line was, callers would be told HP was 'experiencing longer waiting times,' in a bid to push people toward HP's website and chatbot.

Hewlett-Packard intentionally made their customers wait for a minimum of 15 minutes on calls, according to a report by The Register.
