President Trump said he would visit Texas on July 11 as the state reels after more than 100 people have been confirmed dead in devastating flooding.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday drew a hard line against quickly blaming the government in the midst of a tragedy – in this case, the deadly floods in Texas.

At least 68 deaths—including the deaths of 21 children—have now been confirmed in the central Texas flash floods, according to the latest update from officials, though dozens of children from a summer camp remain unaccounted for as blame swirls over preparedness and whether residents were properly alerted.

Rescue volunteers in Center Point, Texas, are finding the belongings of missing children from the floods. People are also using heavy machinery to help clear debris. CNN’s Isabel Rosales spoke with one volunteer who said he’s trying to help bring closure to the victims’ families.
