A new burst of arctic air was on the way and there was an "increasing potential of another significant winter storm" for Eastern states this weekend, the National Weather Service said.

There is a Cold Weather Advisory in place tonight with wind chills in the -5° to -20° range for Tioga County in Pennsylvania and Steuben County in New York in the Twin Tiers until 1PM Tuesday. You should make sure to limit your time outside until Tuesday afternoon.

The NWS Blacksburg VA released an updated cold weather advisory at 1:36 p.m. on Monday valid from 6 p.m. until Tuesday noon. The advisory is for Surry, Stokes, Rockingham, Caswell, Wilkes and Yadkin counties.
