Greek yogurt maker Chobani is planning a $1.2 billion factory at the Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome.

Chobani made an announcement on Tuesday to build a $1.2 billion plant in the City of Rome. Kayla Bruce takes a look at the history of Chobani in the Mohawk Valley.

The new facility will become the largest natural food processing plant in the nation, when construction is completed in 2027.
