The Kansas Jayhawks had a disappointing season after starting the year as the No. 1 ranked team in a majority of preseason polls. The Jayhawks made it to the 2025 NCAA Tournament bracket, but were ousted in the first round by the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Following the season's end, the NCAA basketball transfer portal has been very busy. So far, the Jayhawks have lost Flory Bidunga and Zach Clemence, guard Rakease Passmore, and guard David Coit have entered the portal. On Monday morning, another piece of bad news came out for Kansas and Self when it comes to the transfer portal.

After closing the book on their worst-performing season of the Bill Self era, Kansas is witnessing a mass exodus of players to the transfer portal. The number of Jayhawks on the way out now has now risen to four with a former transfer guard leaving after just one year in Lawrence.
