Bill Belichick received a warm reception when he was introduced to the crowd at a University of North Carolina men’s basketball game, days after he was named as head coach of the school’s football team.

North Carolina made the first move in the coaching carousel among Power Four teams when it fired Mack Brown in late November. The Tar Heels also made the biggest splash by replacing him with legendary NFL head coach Bill Belichick.

Bill Belichick contacted Bryce Baker on Thursday night, just hours after the six-time Super Bowl champion head coach's introductory presser in Chapel Hill. Evidently, Baker liked what he heard from the 72-year-old enough to pledge his allegiance to the Tar Heels for the second time in his recruitment.
