Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday commended the Chhattisgarh government for its determined efforts in combating Maoism in the state.

Home Minister Amit Shah met with a group of former Naxals, expressing his satisfaction over their decision to surrender.

Addressing surrendered Maoists in Bastar’s Jagdalpur city, Amit Shah said, “After surrendering, you must be feeling happy and your parents even happier. But believe me, I am feeling the happiest.”

Union Minister Amit Shah on Monday applauded the Chhattisgarh government on their action against the Naxalites. Addressing a press conference in Jagdalpur Shah said, "In the past year, a large number of Naxalites have been killed.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Naxals should join the mainstream, move ahead on the path of development and also contribute to the development of Chhattisgarh.

Amit Shah also hailed the Chhattisgarh government's rehabilitation policy for Naxalites and appealed to them to quit violence and join the mainstream.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said the Centre and the Chhattisgarh government were committed to eradicate the menace of Naxalism from the state before March 31, 2026.

Amit Shah was speaking in Chhattisgarh's Jagdalpur at an event that was attended by about 30 surrendered Maoists and insurgents.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated that Naxalism will be eradicated in India by March 2026 under PM Modi's leadership, highlighting significant progress in anti-Naxal operations and reduced casualties.

"I am the happiest person today, more than you or your family, as our painstaking efforts to convince you to surrender and join the mainstream has bore fruit," Union Home Minister Amit Shah told a group of former Naxals on Sunday.
